  • Problem with calculating Light Cache on backburner

    Hi,
I have problem with calculating LC on backburner:

    Main computer:
8 cores, LC 8 passes: 100% cores usage when calculating LC.

When I send job via backburner to 12 cores machine (I set 12 LC passes), Light cache uses 5-15% cores power only. No matter how I set the LC passes (12, 8 or less), always LC uses 5-15% cores power only.
When I start rendering on main machine without backburner - all is fine and LC uses 100% CPU power.

Both machines have 16GB RAM, the scene isn't so heavy (uses about 8GB of RAM)

    Can anyone help?

perhaps the network machine has 12 core processors with hyperthreading, so its actually 24 logical cores? This would explain the low usage. Try setting them at 24 and see what happens.

The network machine has 12 logical cores. No matter how I set the LC passes, always LC uses 5-15% power. No proxy and displace in the scene. Only high resolution textures (8000px).

Do you get the same LC issue with very simple scene setup ?
