  • this irradiance map cannot be used in animation mode

    Hi,

I am trying to render an animation with moving objectd using the irradiance map "animation prepass" & "animation rendering" modes. However my render pass gives me this error: "this irradiance map cannot be used in animation mode"

Essentially I have two passes: GI and Render

The GI pass renders the IR map for every frame in the range (plus 2 either end ) in "animation prepass" mode and the render pass uses "animation rendering" mode. I have used this technique for many projects in the past without issue. We have recently upgraded to 2.40.03 though.

Anyone seen this before? As it is Friday I am not ruling out any user error at this stage!

    Cheers,
    Olly

That's very odd - would it be possible to attach this IM + scene file in order to investigate what is going on.
Are you able to reproduce it on a simple scene or it is scene dependent ?

      Thanks for replying Svetlozar.

It turned out to be user error (a misspelled filename) on this occasion.

      Cheers,
