  • Update to Vray 2.4.04 from 2.4.03 is causing problems.

    Hello.

I have just updated my version of VRay to the latest one and when I open up a maxfile all my VRay settings are lost. GI is off, colour mapping is set to default, everything.

Is this normal?? Then I put all the settings back to how I had them, it renders much darker than previously too.

I am using a plugin called RPManager to store all my pass data. Has anyone had this problem?

    Cheers.

    Andy.

I've just run a simple test and this issue doesn't appear here.
All the settings were saved , there weren't any discrepancies between both versions.
It could be related to some other plugins or scripts installed on the machine.

Color mapping between 2.40.03 and 2.40.04 is changed because of Max 2014 - so the darker result is probably caused from different settings in color-mapping rollout.

        Hi Andy,

What is the 3ds max version that you are using?
Do you use the latest RPM manager 5.06 ?
Would it be possible to make a simple test without this plugin and file saved with 2.40.03?

P.S. i will do some tests on our side and try to reproduce the issue with this plugin installed.
