  • Export geometry with a "Cam map WSM" Modifier to VrayProxy

    Hey there,

    I'm trying to export some geometry that have some camera map modifier on them, but for some reason the uv from the cam map are not stored correctly in the proxy.
    I need to go and snapshot each of the model before exporting,

    Just thought I would let you know.

    Obviously you could try the Non WSM cam map modifier and see if this works, but ultimately I find I only use the new "per pixel cam map" map for these projections, as they also don't need dense geometry to work.
    Viewport display however is lacking.

      Thanks for the feedback - I'll make a note about it into our system.
      Meanwhile you can collapse Camera-modifier before export the mesh to vray-proxy or like trixian mentioned to use Non WSM.

        Well the idea is that collapsing something with a WSM doesn't actually "bake" that modeifier in. At least as far as I know

          I wasn't aware of that issue - all the tests that I made produced the correct results so I guess I was lucky.

            Yeah trixian, that's exactly why I need to snapshot the mesh, it's the only way in max to collapse those WSM modifiers...

            For the other cam map, yeah sure I trie dit, it's good but the viewport is too important, I need to see the texture backed in the viewport, even if that means to put a smooth modifier at 0 and a turbo-smooth with smoothing groups on top of my meshes

            @Svetlozar, I will try again with some other meshes when I've got time to see where it's breaking.

              Right click on the WSM and select "Collapse To."

                Nice, as simple as that, interesting that "convert to" doesn't work but that does
