  • Arch&Design material in shell mtl

    1) New scene, add a teapot
    2) Create a new material, use Arch & Design
    3) Apply to teapot, render - looks fine
    4) Create a new material, use Shell
    5) Instance the previously created A&D material to both shell slots
    6) Apply Shell mtl to teapot - renders black!

    Using VRay 2.40.04

Don't use the arch & design material then. It's not designed to work with VRay.
Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/

    Cache nothing. Brute force everything.

It's been like that for a while; but we can only do the auto-conversion if the Arch&Design material is either directly applied on an object or inside a Multi/Sub-object material right now. I will make a note to add support for the Shell material too.

      Best regards,
      Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
