  • opacity mapped objects inside vrayenvironment fog

    hy guys!

i noticed that opacity mapped objects inside a vrayenvironmentfog are still visible when the the map color is black.
in the attached image you can see the greenish thingy is the fogvolume and the white things are opacity mapped planes with a standard black/white checker map.
in the secont they should be completely transparent.

    greetings

    Isn't this expected ?
The objects are invisible but the Environment Fog where the objects are is thinner and it creates an illusion that the objects are there.
The space of the objects is empty, it doesn't contain any Fog inside and that's why the Fog in these areas is thinner.

i don`t think so - these are just planes so they have no volume
and they are not in the gizmo-list for the fog volume

Could you please try to increase fog-subdivisions - I managed to get rid off those artifacts by increasing subdivisions from the default 8 to 24 but you could try to increase them even more.
