  • LightSelect + glossy refraction

    Should glossy refraction work with lightSelect? I'm noticing that it doesn't! (glossy glass lampshade)
    If not, what's the reasoning?

    Hi,

    Yes, it should work with glossy refraction. In my tests Light select doesn't work well with Reflection glossiness as well.
    I will make a note about it. Thank you for the feedback.

      So this is what you would expect?

      glossiness = .88 Beauty
      glossiness = .88 LightSelect
      glossiness = 1.0 Beauty
      glossiness = 1.0 LightSelect

      Are there plans to fix it in future releases? Or maybe I'm missing something... Its definitely a problem when using a vray - nuke compositing workflow.

        Hi,

        Probably some misunderstood about my reply
        Yes, it should work with glossy refraction.
        I mean that this should work but for the moment it doesn't. However, i sent a report to the developers and hope they will make the necessary changes soon.
        Unfortunately can't give any time frame at this stage.

        Thank you for sharing the examples.
