I'm looking for a way to improve viewport performance. I'm having a scene where I have to use many trees, I remember seeing (sadly not where) something about the tree showing as a wireframed box in the viewport but coming out normal in the render. I thought this method was used via VRay proxies, but I haven't been able to achieve any of that yet. I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with the technique and might be able to inform on how to use this, or might have a good link for more explanation.
