  • Vray RT has decided to stop working.....

I cannot get VRay RT 2.40.04 to work - I just get a black screen.

    I get;

    Loading VRay Plugins-done
    Translating - done
Building scene command queue - done
Starting local render server - done

But then just a black screen - no matter what I put into the scene.......

Any ideas please, would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Kindest regards,

    Jez

Do you see the command prompt of the V-Ray RT render server in the task bar?

      Best regards,
      Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

        Hi Vlado,

All I see is the VRL Service module in the task bar (Vray floating licence server).

This was all working fine previously......

          Hi,

Could you check windows services for VrayRTspawner?
Is it running ? If yes, try to stop it and start the V-ray RT/Active shade render again.

            Hi Tashko,

I tried that, it doesn't make any difference.....

I've just replied to your email I received today.

Big thanks to the great people at Technical Support, Chaosgroup.

They sorted my problem - turned out to be my Dongle needed updating.
