  • Cannot render final 100 frames

I have a sequence with 540 frames. Backburner was up to 436 the other day and I had to suspend to render a different sequence. Now when I restart the render the buckets just sit there for ages doing nothing. I have pre-rendered the IRR map for the entire scene and loaded it. I've also tried using DR (not through backburner) and used my main workstation but they all now do the same thing. Previously the frames were all taking about 6 minutes to render.

Could the irrmap have become corrupt ?

It's been a while since I used BB but I seem to remember it doing this to me on more than one occasion, I think it's a bug. You could resubmit the job saving out the frames using the same name and just check the "skip existing images" option. That way you will just be rendering out the frames that haven't been done yet.

Pflow stuff in the scene, or something else that is relying on temporal continuity?
If you have some heavy pflow going on, try writing it out with the cache to disk node.

I've just re-rendered the irr map to count that out and it seems to be okay now. Not sure what happened with the previous one. Very odd ! Thanks for the suggestions.
