  • Vray proxy Visibility Zdepth Issue

    hey,

So I´ve animated some cells splitting and multiplying by Creating morphs before and after splitting and then animating their Visibility. Since I got issues with some of the animations somehow getting out of sync (can´t really describe it better), I decided to created Vrayproxies, thus effectively baking the Animation (Pointcache for some reasons didn´t work either). This seemed to work pretty well, until I realized that the Zbuffer was messed up. Obviously Vray ignored the Visibility Animation on the proxies and rendered them visible, but only in the Z-Channel.
Any idea on how to effectively prevent this and get a correct Zbuffer without recreating the proxies? i got quite a few of them now and a tight deadline...

Ok, Not sure what i did, but when I rendered a Zbuffer pass using the Falloff with Distance Blend method it suddenly worked...

Glad to hear you sorted it out. I guess that it is something related to the scene-setup cause I've just exported mesh with animated visibility to VrayProxy and Zdepth pass has been working as expected.
