  • VrayCarPaint Material Alpha problem

    Hi.

I use VrayCarPaintMtl in my scene and all works well, but when I open my EXR in photoshop, the objects with VrayCarPaintMtl in VrayReflection Layer are transparent alpha.

In VFB window, I select VrayReflection Layer in the list, and is correct. The reflection layer is perfect. The problem is when I open it in Photoshop.

    Anyone can help me?

I think the alpha is being apply to ur layer when you open it. So try opening without applying alpha. U can use photoshop plugin openexr for that I believe.

      Thank's DADA.

I try to replace CarPaintMtl with VratMtl with reflection and glossy to aproximate the settings to CarPaintMtl, and now it opens perfect in Photoshop (ProEXR).

I think is a problem with the alpha feature of CarPaintMtl, but I don't see the problem in settings.

Unfortunately there is a problem with the alpha channel of the Reflection render element when CarPaint material is used. I hope to will be fixed soon.
Also please keep in mind that the work on Alpha channel support for render elements is in progress.

As a workaround you can try to use the alpha channel from the beauty pass.
