  • Depth of field (DOF) different in CPU/GPU mode

    Hi

I have encountered a weird problem with DOF. With CPU rendering it gets super blurred, but when rendering with the GPU it looks correct.
I have tried changing all the various parameters, but with no luck.

I use the latest beta. 3.05.03 and max 2014.

    Hi,

Would it be possible to send us a scene for this DOF issue?

        Hi,

Thank you for the scene file.
It seems that V-ray RT and V-ray production renderer use different focus point when the V-ray physical camera is scaled.
I will make a note about this issue to the developers.

However, if you create new camera with the same settings and place it at the same position, you will be able to get identical DOF result for both render engines.

Thanks a bunch. Ups, I usually don't scale my cameras, so that never crossed my mind. - Then it's no wonder Vray gets all confused.
