  • Vray 3 beta basic/advanced/expert settings

I find it really annoying to have to click through the basic/advanced/expert buttons each time I need to access some expert settings in vray rollouts. Especially, since clicking the button slides the whole section I'm trying to adjust way down and I need to scroll again to click the button one more time, it scrolls down again and I need to scroll back again. It's not a big deal, but it is a bit of a nuisance.

Perhaps there could be a way to set all setting to advanced or expert with a single button or at least get rid of the automatic scroll down?

    Yeah I second that,

I'm really used to all the settings from Vray as I'm working with it for 7 years and I would love a expert mode from the start as well, even a way of set that straight from the start? Maxscript command that I could put in my startup script folder?
I understand why chaosgroup does that, but I'm not sure I would be part of the people nearly never touching any of those "hidden" settings, so a way to see everything from the start would suite me better

+1 for the option to startup and stay in expert mode.

For the next beta, you can right-click on any of the UI switchers and switch everything at once. Beyond that, you can always create a maxstart.max file with the settings that you like.

Is the Quick Settings initiative something that will find its way into all your products, or only the Max version? How will the Sketchup version work? Just curious whether this is a company wide strategy or if every software implementation team basically work on their own.

Let's see how things will work out in the 3ds Max version. I'd hate to put this everywhere only to find out that the concept doesn't work.

I was more thinking that a cross company discussion could be beneficial, especially from the guys tailoring to the typical Sketchup user.
