  • Vray matte shadow is way too dark, can't fix this

The lighting of this ball is done, the walls generate GI onto the ball, but they darken my floor way to much. My GI in my alpha channel is way too bright. In reality there would be a bit of GI around the ball and a dropshadow generated from a Vraylight in the window.

Can anyone tell we what is wrong here?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Tom,

It seems that you have strong GI shadows over the matte plane, which makes it more visible (less alpha contribution).
You can try to decrease the plane "GI amount" value from the V-Ray object properties window or to add additional light source to your scene setup in order to decrease the appearance of the GI shadows.
