  • DR Problem - Vray 30002 Max 2014

Just installed vray 3 for first time & having a go in Max 2014.
I am trying out the progressive image sampler. The rendering proceeds as expected.
If i try to do a distributed render, 3dsMax immediately crashes. This happens every time.
Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot this ? The scene does have another model
inserted as an xref scene - and if i disable that xref, the render proceeds without crashing
(its basically an empty room if i disable the xref). Surely vray should not cause max to crash
just because of an xref ?? (the xref is an Archmodels car)
OK - so i just tried merging in the xref, and so far that seems to have solved the problem - it seems to be
    rendering ok with DR.
However, this seems pretty strange that an xref would cause such a dramatic bombing out of 3dsmax.

Hmm, that's odd. Can you send us the scene to vray@chaosgroup.com so that we can investigate and fix it?

    Best regards,
