Hi,
I'm working on an animation shot and one of our characters uses sss2 on the skin. The scene is rather simple, mostly vraymtls, a vraysun, and a few fill lights. I'm using brute force and LC as secondary. On this shot i wanted to have the character only with the shadows projected on the floor and walls and the reflection on the floor. I've set this up with vrayproperties, like usual, worked on other projects normally. Thing is, he does a sss prepass (rate = 0) in the entire environment and it takes really long, like 20+min, it's like he's rendering the image just for nothing, and then on some matte objects he shows these red pixels all over the place. After the prepass the rgb is all screwed up and it takes really long time to render. If i take the SSS off, it renders normally, and mattes work properly. Could use some advice asap if possible. Cannot send the scene file but i can post a pic of what's happening. Vray version is 2.40.04, 3dsmax 2014.
Thanks
