  • Vraymap broken in 3.0?

We recently switched to Vray 3.0 and now I have to rerender a scene created with 2.4.
Seems like the vraymap is broken now, I get black surfaces everywhere it is used in the scene.
I didnĀ“t set up the scene, because I usually only use Vraymaterials, but its set up with standard materials with vraymap in reflection slot.
    Is this a known bug?

And just in case: On installing Vray 3.0 I deinstalled Vray 2.4 - can I simply reinstall 2.4 or and do I need to consider anything else when running both versions parallel?

There's nothing specific here; you can install/reinstall any of the versions, it should work fine.

I can't reproduce this here on a simple test; it would be best to get me (a part of) the scene to vlado@chaosgroup.com so that we can fix this.

        Best regards,

          Its most definitely a bug.
I tried recreating the material, which is a standard material with fall-off map set to perpendicular in reflection slot. Inside the white color map slot is a color correction map with a Vraymap inside and a reflection map plugged in itĀ“s environment slot.
This worked at first, so I tried to recreate the error.
This is very specific: If you change glossy subdivs or untick the glossy checkbox WHILE the environment map is plugged in, you get artefacts. You have to unplug the environment and then tick glossy checkbox again or change subdivs, and AFTER that you can safeley plug the environment map back in...
Tell me if you can recreate this with my info or if you still need a scene for checking it.
I know how to fix it for my scene, so thanks anyways!

Yes, I can reproduce the error; looking into it now.

Ok, let me know what you find out, because it seems like my fix only works temporarily, once I reload the scene the material is broken again.
