  • Vray 3 license -197 error

    While I await support, I wonder if the forum might be quicker?

    I have installed vray 3 on my workstation, and upgraded the license server on our SBS2003 server (after updating the WIBU drivers and restarting).

    I am getting a -197 error from my workstation.

    When I run a localhost in a browser on the server, there is no mention of vray3 - just vray 1.5 and vray 2.0

    Any pointers?

    It seems that when I am double-clicking the new wbc files, the files themselves are being overwritten with the contents of the dongle. This should be the other way around afaik.

      This is mad. I've been trying to upgrade to vray 3 since about 10am this morning now! I've never known an upgrade procedure to be so problematic. I am 99% sure it will be something I am doing wrong, but still......

          Yep - just replied to your email. The latest set of updated wbc files seem to have worked. Thanks. What was the problem?

            Thank you very much for your update. We are glad to hear that everything works as expected now.
            As far as I understand the files that we have sent at the first time were bad, so my colleagues have sent you new ones.
