Vray 3.00.03 crash when loading old scene with proxies

My max is crashing when trying to open a scene made with pre-3.0 Vray.

By merging objects one-by-one I have narrowed it down to be caused by some Vray Proxies (made with previous Vray versions)

Has anyone else experienced this?

No I don't think this has been reported; it would be best if you can get us a scene to vray@chaosgroup.com so that we can fix it asap.
