  • Invisible VR-light masks out in render mask

    I have a studio scene with one of the VRayLight planes (checkbox invisible on) in front of my objects and need to render objects-subselection with render mask.
    The plane masks out the objects, this have to be fixed.

    Vray 3.003 3dsmax 2014

    ...forget Warp 9, engine-room please switch to Vray-speed...

    Hello,

    The problem is that once a camera ray hits any geometry - it is checked if it is in the selection and if not - nothing is done for this ray any more. This happens with any transparent geometry too..
    As a workaround you could add the invisible light to the selection but this will include objects behind the light. Another workaround could be a texture mask..

    We are looking for some better solution to this problem.
