Lock to dome orientiation problem

I opened a 3dsmax 2.4 Vray File with 3.003 and the main lightning by a dome light was rotated different.
I think the new "Lock to dome orientation" check-box being turned on by default on old files could be a problem.
Turning off the checkbox solved the problem / leads to a rendering looking as the old.
