Since installing vray3, I've had problems with stuck buckets. I've written about it here in other threads, and the latest vray version SHOULD tackle the issue. However, the problem will not go away.
For me, it has always been when I've rendered proxy trees (with opacity mapped leaves). I have used the trees for a long time with previous vray- and max verisons and never had any problems.
The problem always manifest itself in the same way. During test rendering (at lower resolution) everything works fine. When I change the resolution for the final render, sometimes a bucket or two gets completely stuck (i.e. renders for 24+ hours when the rest of the buckets take only a few seconds). However, it is not always that the trees produce this error. A lot of times it works fine, but in maybe 30% of the cases it screws up the render.
Also, the same scene will sometimes render perfectly from another camera angle.
Vray version is 3.00.04 (official) and Max version is 16,0 SP5
To which email address should I send you a copy of the file?
