  • Rendering results are different in max2012 and 2013 up

There is a very strange scene.
Rendering results are different in max2012 and 2013 up.
version of V-Ray is the same.(3.00.04)

Roof is a Standard material in a Multi/Sub-Object material.
Floor sets a Standard material and a Tile texture to a Multi/Sub-Object material.
    Light cache is On.

If Tile texture is removed or Light cache is removed, a problem will no longer be looked.

    Where is a problem?

    Hi,

We get the same issue in Max 2012 with your file here as well.
Probably is a bug, but we have to do more tests.

I will update the thread when we have more information.

    Thank you for this report.

We found that this issue is mostly related to 3DS Max version 2012.

In order to workaround it you can try to deactivate the following V-Ray option >
Render Settings > V-Ray> Global switches > Filter for GI (Maps)

Let me know if this fix the issue in your environment.

        Ok.
works by turning OFF "Filter for GI".
It could surpass. (fix is expected.)

        Thank you.

Actually I'm not sure if this is fixable on our side, there is an issue in this 3DS Max version. I will check again if we can do something to prevent this.
