  • Vray Clipper - using many clippers

See attached images. I wish to cut many slices through one object. I achieve the first cut by using two VrayClippers - but when I attempt to make the second slice it breaks down.

Am I doing this wrong - or is the behavior I want simply not supported?

    First slice- succesful:

This is currently undefined, to be honest I had no idea people would want to use many clippers at once Will fix it.

    Best regards,

I loves me them clippers - and can see many uses for them with animation in mind. Especially if I can use an inlimited amount to slice things up good.

      - I second the request for more (sphere, box, cylinder, custom mesh) Clipper objects that can be used in combination with eachother. I could imagine custom mesh being troublesome, but eg. a Box primitive with 3 axis would already enable much more control than the infinite plane.

      - Maybe going crazy here - but: If the Clipper was extended with other shapes (not expecting this feature as a quick fix update) it would be really cool to have a positive/negative checkbox in the Clipper object. This would work like Masks in After Effects. A giant Clipper object shaped as a box encompassing the entire scene is set to Negative (Cut/Remove) and ten smaller Clipper objects set to Box/Sphere is set to Positive (Add). Now anything inside the Positive objects are visible - the rest is not.
