10+ year old bug still persists?

Came here to post a bug.
I'm writing a script that loads different vray setups and sometimes it has to change gi_irradmap_preset variable.
So it does. Variable changes. Name of preset changes.
But settings for preset - not

And the first search gives me the same issue that was already reported ... (TADA)

in 2005!

I posted this ages ago before the list got hacked so i thought I'd repost it.

basically the .gi_irradmap_preset flag only changes the number of the drop down list and doesnt propogate the irradience map settings with the actually settings... basically there seems to be a missing callback that changes the settings if the dropdown list is affected via maxscript.

Hey men it's been 10 years ago!
It's not an open source project . It's commercial!

You know it's not even funny for for $1K product.

So i'm stuck after the script is finished!
And as i understand bug will be fixed in next version for another $!
Or even worse - wouldn't ...

This is fixed in the latest official builds of V-Ray 3.0.

You know, when i'm buying a product that is officialy (in manual) declared to do some things - doesn't do it - this product is called broken and has to be replaced with new - fixed one.
For FREE!

There is no problem to back-port the fix to the next SP for V-Ray 2.x, if you need it.
