  • Warning : Texture

    Hi,

First time I have this problem. A few days ago, I usually don't but I received a scene from someone for a job with " Warning: Texture map "Map #2326 (Raytrace) is not compatible.....". One inconsistent map among quite a lot of materials...

I finally found it after a lot of effort but it was a real pain in the ass...
So my question is simple : How do you treat a shit like this ?
What is the best way to isolate the innacurate map (in this case) or material ?

    Thanks you for any help
    (Sorry for my bad english)

    Hi,

Yes, those 3DS Max Raytrace lead to many render artifacts, errors and warnings, so the best way is to avoid using them in the scene.

Probably one solution is to search for them in the Slate Mtl editor using the map number shown in the V-Ray log window.

Before doing this make sure that you have all scene materials listed (Material > Get all scene materials)
