Is there any way to get rid of artefacts when animating the clipper ? Is this something that will be sorted in future releases ?

Also. Is the UVW map of the clipper face defined by the clipper icon size or is this not implemented yet ?

What artifacts ? Can you send me a scene reproducing the problem ? (peter.matanov@chaosgroup.com) Also check your geometry for overlapping faces.

The icon size of the clipper as you can see is constant to the viewport. Scaling the clipper itself will cause scale of any assigned textures but will not change the size of the icon. The mapping is similar to the one on VRayPlane.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

We are working on a solution for the most common issues, but it's not clear if this is your particular case or not; would be best to get us a scene, as Peter mentioned.

I believe that Peter Matanov is right about the overlapping faces.
It seems that when the plane is clipping an object that overlaps with another (eg. a cube over a plane where the bottom faces of the cube are in the exact same location as the plane below), you don't see the object (because it's "clipped out") but you do see artifacts where the faces overlap.

In the example above, if the vray clipping plane clips the cube, you still see artifacts of the clipped bottom faces.

I checked my model and yes there are overlapping faces from different meshes. Thanks for the help. I really think it's a great addition to vray !

Actually you can look at the help from time to time http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3/VRayClipper - the second note

If would be even better if we make it work without the need for the user to check the help files

I used a script to randomly rotate objects and another script to randomly move vertexes on some objects (just a tiny fraction of a mm, for eg).
It's a quick workaround to avoid overlapping faces...
The vrayclipping plane works great now but it's probably not the best practice!

The scripts are available at scriptspot.
