  • Distributed rendering failed due to lightcache loading error

    Hello,
I'm facing a lot of trouble to get DR working with BF/LC on vray 2.4/max 2014.
The LC is done on the main computer, then save to a share folder (read/write/full permission).
All server are giving the following message: Aborting render: failed to load light cache "\\CORETO\maps\RenderFarmTest\lc.vrlmap"
    BF/BF work fine

Using Backburner work fine for now under the same configuration.

Thanks to let me know how to solve the problem.

When using BackBurner are you using Distributed Rendering as well?
Is the issue only Light Cache related - what about textures, proxies,Irradiance Map caches and all other assets in the scene?
How did you start VraySpawner on the render servers, manually or as a windows service?
Is the issue scene-dependent or it persists in every scene?

Test with BB is done without DR.
Vrayspawer is started as a window service
The scene is a basic scene test, here attached.
        Same occur to any scene.
        All combination give the same error : LC/BF - BF/LC - IR/LC
The slave are running under Windows Serveur 2008 R2.

I reverted from Vray 3 to 2.4 on the main workstation.
I notice that the vray toolbar remain on the UI without any icon.
Could it be part of the problem?

That is what I had in mind when I asked you about how VraySpanwer has been started.
Glad to hear you solved it out.
