  • Render mask - limitation

I found a bad behaviour with lights and render mask on diferent files.

I have to make some changes request by client and my glass are affected, so i open my file, change materials, select geometry , use render mask, + selecction, hit render but when a i have a light in front of those geometries the vraylight itself render black and doesnt get affected by the invisible check on their properties.

    Hi,

It's a known limitation and we are working on it.
    Thanks for your report.

      Hi There
Today I was trying to render a tree separately using Render mask (selected) and found that the opacity mapped leaves did not render the alpha correctly. It just used the shape of the geometry. Is this a limitation as well, or am I doing something wrong?

This particular issue (transparency mapping with the Render Mask) should be greatly improved in the first 3.0 service pack.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
