  • Texture Filtering

    Howdy-

Sometimes, when I try to remove texture filtering on all my textures, 3DSMAX freezes. I have tried several scrips, and all freeze MAX, but only sometimes. Typically, I optimize my scene and save it right before I turn off filtering, anticipating the freeze. Has anybody else experienced this/ DOes anybody know whey it happens, and only happens sometimes?

I just tried 111_massFiltering_v0.2, which froze MAX like the others, but this script lets me select the elements to run the script on. So, the second time, I selected half my scene at a time and it worked!

Why don't you just use Olly's script?

      Select Bitmaptexture in the dropdown
      Set integer to 2
      Click the "scene" button
      Done

Olly's VMC script is useful for lots of other material settings also
      Kind Regards,

Well, I use it all the time, but I didn't realize that was in there.

Re-reading my post, it sounds a bit rude. That wasn't my intention. Sorry if it came across that way
