  • VrayHDRI Broken in viewport in 2015. Works fine in 2014 - VRay 2.5

    Hi all

So it seems VRayHDRI display in viewport from environment is BROKEN in 2015. It works fine in 2014.

Tried various things in 2015 to make it work, and all I get is a white screen.

So to reproduce (either in 2014 or 2015)
    Make new blank scene
Add hdri in environment slot and adjust multipliers etc
    In viewport, display environment

Works fine in 2014, but same steps do not work in 2015. Tried with realistic display, shaded etc. Tried in material editor to display in different ways, but end up with same white result

Could be something in MAX changed again in 2015
Although in 2014 I tested it with VRay 2.4 and in 2015 I tested it with VRay 2.5

    Any thoughts?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Thanks, looking forward to a fix.

Just out of sake of interest, did the VRay code change for this or the way max implements things?
      Kind Regards,
      Morne

No, the V-Ray code didn't change, I think. However, the Nitrous implementation is being actively developed and changes from release to release - it may very well be that we need to do something differently for 3ds Max 2015.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

          Hi Morne,

          We have this fixed.

You can try the latest nightly or wait for the next V-Ray 2.x service pack where this fix will be included.
