Vray proxies dont display on loading

I've created lots of vray proxies. When I create them I display them as 'preview from file'. When I save and re open the file all the proxies are not visuable, I have to pick each one, pick a different display option and set it back again. Anyone got any ideas why?

Which Vray and Max version you are using?
Can you send us a sample scene about the issue?
What steps we should follow in order to replicate the same issue into our environment?
