Recently finished a job on which I struggled a lot with this particular problem. Double glazed partitions everywhere. (hello massive rendertimes)
Whenever a few panes of glass stacked up I started to get areas of noise that permeated every single pass.
Since I cant post anything from that job, ive recreated a simple scene which shows what I mean.
Note that there are no lights or GI in the scene, as when troubleshooting the main file I found that the noise was exactly the same with or without GI and with or without lights.
What is this noise and how do you get rid of it?
you can see 2 panes are fine. but beyond that is bad. AA is lowered to exaggerate the effect.
I tried all spinners and cutoffs I can think of
