  • DR slaves can't obtain license

    Hi,
I have searched the forum for answers but nothing quite like my problem. Sorry if I missed it somewhere.

Setup is one workstation and two render slaves.
When rendering a scene with DR the slavenodes doesn't kick in. See attached file.

If I let each and every machine render the job via backburner (separately) it all works fine.
I can ping the licenseserver from all machines. No problem. But... when sending a job with DR checked it doesn't work. Why?
The DR spawner works fine from both slaves. I start them manually and not as a service.

    Frustrating!

    Dougie,
Change the port number for your DR slaves to 20204 and it should work.
Unless you have changed it to 30304 on purpose?

Change the port number through the settings tab in the render dialogue

      That did the trick!
Strange though - I have not changed the port numbers but when I deleted the servers from the render dialogue, and added them again as new, they showed up with port number 20204. I guess I must have changed it manually in my hunt for success! Not important anymore. It WORKS!

      Thank you!!
