  • Render To Texture & VRayDisplacementMod

Is this correct that VRayDisplacementMod doesn't work with Render To Texture? I have a ceiling dome that displaces a pattern, along with using the water level to cut out the furthest displaced parts. When trying to bake the lighting that this new feature creates I just get the original dome without displacement.

Solution I guess would be to use the displace modifier, along with a volume select to remove polys at the furthest recessed areas - and then optimize, unwrap, bake.

We managed to reproduce the issue into our environment.
The case is logged in into our system - we will let you know when we have updates on that regard.

This is correct, yes. It is on the "to do" list to look into it, but we haven't gotten there yet. We have this in V-Ray for Maya, so hopefully it's not too hard to bring it to 3ds Max.

This is the only solution for the moment.
