  • Bitmap Paths Editor doesn't work with VrayHDRi Map

Hey there, so I have a scene using all VrayHDRI maps, and apparently they don't show up inside the "Bitmap Paths Editor" Utility. I need to en masse fix a bunch of bitmap paths, is there some other editor or technique that properly reads VrayHDRI maps, or will I have to script? Thanks for any help!

Use the Asset Tracker. The Bitmap Paths Editor is an old utility specifically coded to work with bitmaps - it was never updated to work with the new asset declaration APIs in 3ds Max.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Yeah, AT is the way to go !
Just a little note: don't forget to enable AT network paths checking by using the command ATSOps.CheckNetworkPaths=true in mxs listener

      Cheers.

Thanks Vlado, that works. And thanks for the tip Nicolas, no way to do that through the inetrface?

AFAIK, no. However, this switch is persistent - once you've activated it, no need to run it again ever.

Thanks for the info. I hate features like that, ones you can only know by word of mouth, they should be discoverable in the interface.
