  • VFB Lens effects broken when loading image from history into VFB

    Hi,

    Situation:
We're rendering an interior with vray camera DoF enabled and lensEffects enabled in the VFB

    Data:
    3ds Max Design 2014 (16.0 SP3)
    VRay 3.00.08

    Problem:
When saving an image with LensEffects into the history, then in another session load it (via doubleclick) the lens effects seem broken, doubled or something like that

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Render a scene with lenseffects bloom/glare
    2) Save the completed image with applied lens effects in the VFB history
    3) Close the 3ds max session
    4) Open 3ds max again
    5) Open the VFB (empty)
    6) Load the image from hsitory via doubleclick
    4) Observe wrong image being displayed inthe FVB, seems doubled lens effects. Image in thumbnail in history is fine, when loaded via doubleclick itswrong. When loaded via A/B its fine.

I managed to reproduce the issue two times in a row.

Let me know if you need any further information.

I think this is fixed for the service pack, but I will double-check.

      Best regards,

Alright, good to hear, thanks .
Meanwhile is there any way of getting that image back into the VFB? (except A/B)

It's fixed. In the service pack when loading a image from the history, it will be a "clean" one (no lens effects applied) so you can apply them then.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
