  • bug - VrayMultiSubTex and fog color

When fog color texture is set to VrayMultiSubTex- Vray production renderer takes into account only default color of MultiSubTex.
    VrayRT renders this properly.
By the way - when fog color texture is set to MultiTexture (use color switch is ON) max crashes.

    Hi,

    Thanks for this report.
I found a very similar bug already reported in our system for not working Mat IDs with the Fog color map slot. So I'm going to update it with this new information.

By the way - when fog color texture is set to MultiTexture (use color switch is ON) max crashes.
Can you give me a scene for this?

          Hi,

By the way - when fog color texture is set to MultiTexture (use color switch is ON) max crashes.
The problem is related to the "Randomize by object option" of multitexture - it tries to access the object but it doesn't check if there really is any object.
This issue should be fixed by the Multitexture developers.

            OK - what about VrayMultiSubTex?
            This still doesn't work...

Unfortunately we don't have a fix for this bug yet, but I will check if we can rise up the priority for this task.

It's not exactly a bug, let's say a drawback Will have to figure some non-hacky way to fix it.

                      Best regards,

This is strange that VrayRT behaves correctly.
                        3.30.04 - drawback still exists...
