  • VFB - reloading a vrimg looks different than original

    Hi,

I have a problematuc scene causing this issue :
    - Rendering to V-Ray raw Image File, output set to .vrimg
    - Once rendering is done, if I reload the saved .vrimg file it looks ok.
    - If exit 3ds max, restart, and try again to reload that same vrimg in the VFB it looks darker than it was ! Nothing changed, Display colors in sRGB ticked in both cases.
If I load the vrimg in photoshop it looks ok. So I guess something is going wrong with the VFB here.

This is the original rendered image. I can clear the vfb, reload the vrimg or save it to history and load it again, it will always look the same.

Can you post that scene here or send it to support@chaosgroup.com so that we can check what's wrong with it? It looks like there is exposure applied to it, but the exposure control is disabled, so not sure what's going on.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Yes Vlado, here's the scene.

I could reproduce this on another computer.

Yes, it's related to the lens effects being enabled in the VFB (more specifically, the glare).

            Best regards,
            Vlado
