  • Render artifacts when foreground tree is set to invisible

    This happen frequently - and tends to be most noticeable when invisible trees are places in front of renderable objects. You can see the black splotches in the attached render.

    I think it's to do with max transparency levels, try raising it.

      Its also intersecting geometry.
      Try raising the secondary ray bias to 0.01

                    They're invisible to the camera but not to reflections.

                      Ok. We have a solution for V-Ray proxies for this specific case in the latest 3.0 builds; I hope to be able to do it for normal geometry instances too.

                        Awesome, thanks. I failed mention that in this case, and most other cases, invisible objects tend to be trees and the like which are vray proxies.
