  • bitmap to vrayhdri error

tried using the tool to convert bitmaps to vrayhdri

I got this pop up, " --Unable to convert: undefined to type: FileName"
With line 1005 highlighted within the vrayutils.ms script.

Anyone know what it might have gotten caught on?

Does it happen each time on that particular scene?
Can you send a screen-shot of the error?
Have you tried to convert the bitmaps with the latest V-Ray 3.10.03?
If you could send us the scene or simplified version of it for investigation that would be great.

        Thanks for the feedback.
Are there any converted Bitmaps even though the error appears?

It looks like some were converted, while others weren't. Must have snagged on something. Possibly form a shader with Multitexture?

Actually there are two empty or corrupt bitmap nodes that brake the conversion process. I will give you the names of the materials/objects in the support ticket you have opened.

Maybe someone could make a script that finds bitmaps without textures and removes them, or selects them.
Otherwise the issue has been resolved. Thanks Tashko

It might be better to simply fix the conversion script

                Best regards,

A small update on this topic: The Bitmap to HDRI conversion script has been updated for the next SP release.
