  • Delay on render end

A delay on render end is getting quite common for me. I am working on a simple scene with a HDR and simple GI setup. The GI and render (720p) calculates very quickly (40 seconds) but on render end, the max session takes several seconds (17 seconds) before I can continue working. With quick renders (particularly small test region renders) this is very annoying.

My display is set to Nitrous. I have a Quadro4000 card.

Any tips to speed this up?

(oddly, sending this simple job through backburner means there is no delay from one frame completing to picking up the next)
    Kind Regards,

I knew I had posted this before and just found the reply! I will revert from Nitrous and report back.

Changing to Direct3D made no difference.

Do you have the VFB history enabled? This may be slowing you down. You can put the VFB file directory on an SSD and it is a lot more bearable.

          Nope. No history setup.

Do you save the output image on the HDD?
Depending on the resolution and the number of the render elements saving output image could take some time.

Does the issue persist only on that particular scene or it happens on others too?
