where does vray save the max file it transfers for DR? HELP!

ive just lost a few hours work.. crash on selecting a camera. autosave decided not to save for the last 4 hours for some reason. my last hope is the max file that vray sends to the dr slave.. please tell me its still sitting there somewhere?!

Unfortunately V-Ray dutifully deletes the file after each render, so chances of finding it there are slim.

However, the very same question comes up every now and again; I'm thinking if we should keep the files around for a few days maybe, just in case.

or maybe until the next render is started at least?

anyway i found a copy of the file so all good in the end.
