  • GPU Displacement Issues

Ok, so whenever I use a Colour Correct node to make an image monochrome and plug that into the Displacement slot of VRayMtl, activate the VRayDisplacementMod on the object, activate Displacement in RT, and hit Render, RT crashes every time. With any image.

RT is assigned as my main engine.

    Thank You.

I thought that displacement was not supported on GPU. Do you get it working without a CC node ?

I will try with either a Colour2Bump or just straight plugging a texture into the slot in the morning and report back.

Displacement is coming with the next SP, but V-Ray should never crash.
You can send the scene to our support guys so they can log that in the bug report system.
        V-Ray fan.

Thanks for the scene; GPU displacement is still somewhat experimental in 3.10 (it's why it's disabled by default). Will be a lot better for the next SP.

            Best regards,
            Vlado
