  • Rendermask not rendering object behind vraylight

    Hi
I'm currently trying to render a single object in pretty long sequence influenced by caustics etc. Because I seem to have trouble getting caustics to be generated from a matte object. I tried using the rendermask feature which works perfectly except for the problem that if my camera moves behind an invisible vray planelight the object isn't being rendered at all. Is there any way around this, or is this a bug?

Using max 2015 and vray 3.10.03
    Cheers,
    Oliver

This is working in the nightly builds and will go into the next service pack.

    Best regards,

      Thanks for the info vlado.

With nightly builds do you mean the "stable nightly" builds or the ones you use internally?
      Cheers,
      Oliver

No, I mean the other ones. The stable builds are really just for minor fixes and corrections, whereas implementing this particular feature required more deep changes to the V-Ray SDK.
