strange problem - rendering hangs when material editor is open

It started today. When I make simple teapot and hit render - everything is OK.
Then when I open material editor and hit render - rendering hangs on "Transforming Vertices".
I have no idea what's going on....
Any ideas???

What is the exact versions/service pack of V-Ray, 3DSMax and OS?
Can you capture the issue on video and attach it for investigation?

Have the same problem with MAX 2018 Vray 3.6 and Windows 10.
