      Hi Morne,

      This bug seems to be more complicated than we thought and we will need more time to implement a fix for it. As soon as we have any news will post here.

            I had an issue some months ago with lens effects whereby a value of 1.5 (for example) worked fine, but changing it to 1.54 (again, for example) the effects wouldn't show. Upping to 1.58 (for example...) and they'd re-appear.

            I just get the feeling these effects are a bit temperamental so we don't use them much any more.

                I'm on 3.20.02 and cant get the bloom to work. I've tried the Lens effect in the VFB

                bloom on

                Object ID and tried Material ID.

                No Bloom effect on the Object ID or the Material ID. and the mask is on the entire image. Am I not doing it right? I'm trying to get the bloom effect on the ceiling light fixtures, they are light materials.

                  Hi,

                  No Bloom effect on the Object ID or the Material ID.
                  Unfortunately we are still working on this and Mat. and Obj. ID are still not working with Lens Effects VFB.

                  and the mask is on the entire image.
                  It is due to the fact that V-Ray lens effects use the real color value (without exposure). You can see that in the Lens Effect Source element generated.
                  It is correct result with Mask Intensity set to 3 I think.

                      Can't give you any time frame about this fix, but there are a lot of requests for it, so hope to be solved soon.

                        Then it should be disabled if it not working. I spent hours troubleshooting my scene just to know that it still broken and possibly was crashing max too.

                            Then it should be enabled when it works again and not let users waist their time trying to get something to work that doesn't work in the first place.
