As you can see something is wrong or am I missing something on 2015 that I need to do to make this work?.

We managed to reproduce it - it is a mapping issue but we are still not sure whether it is V-Ray or 3DSMax issue.
We'll let you know as soon as we have some news on that matter.

It seems that it works as expected with Planar from World XYZ mapping, so you could use that as a workaround:

We'll forward the case to our developers for further investigation.

i have the same problem with the mapping. i have character. when i render with buffer it takes the texturecolor, but with mr prime it´s not working. the workaround is not working in my case.

Yeah, that workaround won't work on non-planar objects.
The case is already into our bug-tracking system, hopefully we will solve it quickly.
Another workaround would be to use "geometry" mode of the Hair&Fur instead "mr_prim".

Actually I found the same problem on 2014, with all 3dsmax patchs installed and V-Ray 3.1 , and I don´t know why the solution was to put the map on map channel 2 and the fur worked fine. I try the same on 2015 but it didn´t worked. Just in case that some one have the problem on 2014.

I use vray 2.5. In 2014 its working. 2015+ 2.5 not, just geometry mode.

Another workaround would be to plug the map inside the Tip/Root colors under Material Parameters rollout and disable Apply mr Shader.

It is not the same thing as using a V-Ray Shader but it is a way to get UV-mapping to work as it should.

I´m using the geometry work around right now. Is it possible to change the shading of th hair in geo mode? I didn´t find way to do that.

OK, i switched to max 2014. the hair shader is working. but i made a animated character when the character is moving the hair shifting in mrprime mode. not in geo mode.
but i have to use the hair to get the ride look. please helpClick image for larger version

Can you send us that scene for investigation?
Let us also know what should be done in order to reproduce the issue and what is the exact V-Ray version that you are using.

                          Hi,
found the solution by my self. Objectmotionblur was checked in the hairobject form a previous rendertest with motionblur. If it is still enabled in the objectproperties and motionblur is off in the rendersettings, you get the offset with the hairshader.
