Here is an update for the mapping problem. I updated max to 2016 and vray to 3.2 and the wrong mapping still exists.
Is there any chance that this bug will be fixed?

It is fixed already for the next patch (3.20.03). It will be uploaded on the website in a couple of days, but if you need it sooner, please email our support guys at support@chaosgroup.com and ask for the latest stable builds.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

Works fine for me with the native hair shader. With the VRayHairMtl material, you have to use a VRayHairInfoTex texture with the mode set to "Hair&Fur/Alembic color", and the actual texture plugged into the hair and fur modifier. See the attached scene.

                        Hi,
                        Sorry for the bump
the forum dosen´t retain the text when i try to edit the post so i just go back and edited the post there...
Didn´t reconized that every time i do that it creates a new Post

                        Im getting the same issue.
I have tryed that on both: Vray 3.2 and the latest nightly build.
And i get the same issue.
I set it up like vlado showed and it works as expected.
But if i cache the dynamics to disk the hair looses its uv coordinates.

I have 3 hair objects, one for the head one for the body and one for the inner ear.
This is what i get without the dynamics:

And if i cache the body´s hair dynamics i get this:

The same thing happens to the head if i cache its hair dynamics.

                        Edit:
It seems to be related to the collision geometry.
everything is ok when i use just the grow object for collision.. is that known?

Can you send us your scene ? (peter.matanov@chaosgroup.com)
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

                                Hm...
I can´t :-/ it drives me crazy the whole yesterday afternoon.
Than, after deleting the hare model from the list of collision objects and check use growth object.
                                It just worked.
Now i can put the hare model back in the collision objects list and its not loosing its uv coordinates
Dident tryed that yesterday because i was so happy about finally finding a way to get it cached and didn´t want to destroy it again.
Unfortunetly i overwrote the broken scene and can´t reproduce it...

Now iam twice as sorry for the bump :-/

If this encounters me again i´ll send you the broken scene.
Thanks for your bother and sorry for waisting your time.
